Riley Elf
This lovely little late ’60’s Riley Elf came to us recently for a partial restoration. It required some remedial work to the body, the old paint stripping off and repainting.
On receipt of the vehicle it was assessed and the drivers side front door pillar was cut out and replaced with a new one along with the engine grille and the front wing on the same side.
The front and rear windscreens were removed along with all the trim, the bonnet, boot lid and the doors. The paint work was stripped and any remedial work that was needed was undertaken. The whole body was then prepared and primed and top coated in Tuscan blue with a snowberry white roof. The engine bay was stripped also and sprayed with Raptor bed liner before being top coated.
After the respray was complete the front and rear windscreen seals were replaced with new and the glass refitted. The rest of the vehicle was then re-assembled and the underside was throughly coated in Waxoyl corrosion inhibitor.
The Elf was then collected by the customer who is going to carry on with the engine installation and refitting the interior himself.
We are looking forward to the customer bringing the completed Elf along to one of our Classic Car Social meets in 2019.
